Barbados was created less than one million years ago by the collision of the Atlantic crustal and Caribbean plates, has 62 miles of coastline, which are composed of finely ground coral. St Vincent is a volcanic island and 1/3rd of the island is mountainous and are only accessible by boat because roads cannot be built on the terrain and has a total of 84 km of coastline.
